PAIRS SKATING

                 Pair skating is often confused with ice dancing, however the two
                  disciplines are very different.  Pair skating is the skating in unison of
                    two people who perform their movements in harmony.  It includes lifts,
                    throws and side-by-side jumps and spins.  "Fours" is a variation of pair
           skating in which four people skate a pair program in unison.
